Hi Becky and Sara,
WELL DONE for another week passed . Do keep active as possible and
have a strategy for those weak moments. How much have you saved?
I do hope you are putting the money in a special tin for trips or clothes
Carry on the good work Anne

Hi well done from me I am a smoker but can have a packet for three days and I do not ever smoke in the house as my husband hates it and my son.But to be honest I don't think I could have got by in all these years when having flare ups no appetite and can't face eating because of antibiotics and painkillers etc I don't think I would have manage so well without a cig I am not a big smoker but sometimes u just need something that no one else can give you.Thats my view anyway a bet your all angry with me now sorry.I respect all others that don't smoke and would never smoke where I knew it was unacceptable.

Don't apologise mags I completely understand where you're coming from, there is nothing quite so good as a cigarette for all sorts of moments in your life. I just wish I could stop salivating every time I smell somebody else's smoke, it'll pass I'm sure.

I'm not saving the money Anne, it was only ever £10 a week at most I used to smoke tiny rollies, a friend of mine called them prison fags! But I'm wishing I had done now, I've put on half a stone and on the verge of needing a whole new wardrobe! Must stop snacking, I never realised how much of an appetite suppressant smoking was and its that old oral gratification that you miss as well. Wonder how else I can satisfy that! Anyway, I'll get the weight thing under control at some point, its better for you than smoking or that's what all the propaganda says at any rate.

Hi Sara

Stick with it. You will put a bit of weight on initially because you are trying to exchange one habit with another. It won't last long. Once you get used to not having to replace the cigs you will settle back down again. Chew gum or a biro for a bit . Do something with your hands. When you feel like a cigarette go and brush your teeth. It works, I used to do it. When your mouth is nice and fresh you don't need the cig taste. I am not saying it is a cure as we both know that it is mainly will power in the end but these little things do really help. It really is worth it. You don't want to add any more health problems to the one you've got. That is enough for anyone. I really wish you good luck with it.
